Human Rights Report
The protection of fundamental human rights was a foundation stone in the establishment of the United States over 200 years ago. Since then, a central goal of U.S. foreign policy has been the promotion of respect for human rights, as embodied in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. For many years, the United States has produced the Country Reports on Human Rights Practices, providing the most comprehensive record available of the condition of human rights around the world. To view the reports from around the world, visit the Department of State Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor for a complete listing and history of the report.
