On February 27, Embassy Malabo hosted the second Ambassador's Roundtable, which focused on civil rights and civil society, cultural diversity, and racial equality. Panelists included the EG Delegate Minister for Culture and Tourism and special guest Michael Battle, the U.S. Ambassador to the African Union.

Throughout his journey, Ambassador Asquino met with Equatoguineans from all segments of society, and pledged the United States' continued engagement with the people and government of Equatorial Guinea.
